{Etsy} Artwork Crush

Who else has an Etsy crush? Can you seriously stay on for hours like me? I feel so guilty when I finally realize I have been sucked in by another fabulous website. So...I was cruising around Etsy this past weekend and stumbled across this wonderful shop:

The shop offers a selection of original photographs and postcards from the Paris Color Project. The project is an ode to the Paris beyond the Eiffel Tower, and to the doors, chairs, graffiti, facades, flowers and textures that capture the essence of the city.

How neat are these photographs? I really love photography because it captures real life. It freezes those fabulous memories and helps you feel what you once felt in that moment!
(Okay I am getting a little too sappy! :)

Well Once I found this picture:
I WAS SOLD! You can buy a set of NINE 8x10 photos for $124!! Isn't that crazy good?

I have wanted to do something different above my victorian couch in the dining room.

When we first moved in, I wanted this room to be red, black & White. As you can see, I have added some other colors as well, but it has been one of my favorite rooms in the house because there are so many family heirlooms  and memories in this room.

That wall behind the couch is quite large and I have always wanted to add something different. The mirror and side pictures don't do the room justice. So after finding this Etsy shop and seeing the photograph with 9 black and white pictures, I am pumped to get this room in gear!

They also have sets of 4 and 9 in different color combos.

What do you think? Do you have a favorite Etsy sight that you crush on?
Please share!!

Master Bedroom Update

If you have been following me for a while, you know that my master bedroom is a work in progress. I have shared with you some before pictures here.

The space has definitely been transformed and I am almost ready to at least show you some "In progress" pictures.....but not quite yet!

Here is was my long to do list:

  • Paint Walls & Tray Ceiling
  • Create Gallery Wall (see gallery wall here)
  • Recover seat cushion on chair & add edging (DIY-victorian chair)
  • New Grommet Drapes
  • New Bedside Lamps (HomeGoods finds)
  • New Bedding
  • Make Euro Pillows with dove fabric
  • Spray paint bedside tables white (DIY side tables)
  • Change out knobs on large dresser
  • Add some throw pillows with color (being shipped!)
  • New Artwork above bed (still deciding)
  • Change out Fan for light fixture (sorry…Hubs said the fan must stay!)
I would say that I have accomplished a lot! I really do feel good about the space.

Here was my inspiration board for the space:

I wanted cool, neutral walls with some splashes of color in the accessories. Since we have carpeting in our bedroom, I decided against the rug for the time being. This will save a little money for other items in the room.

I think this room will always be in "transition" because I am constantly changing items and adding to the design. Do you ever feel that way about a space in your home?

I also found this amazing pillow designer on Etsy! So....now I am just waiting for these little beauties to arrive by the weekend:

Two of these..

....and one of these!

I can't wait to add some "pops" into my bedroom!

What do you think so far?

Fab Friday

It is FINALLY FRIDAY! Can I get a....Wha What?

I am very excited that there is a long weekend ahead. I have always loved Labor Day. It means...time to unwind from the crazy Summer and move into a slower paced Fall. (we can only wish right?) I am sure getting excited for Fall! I can almost smell it in the air.....ummm pumkins, cider, leaves, soups and inside projects!

I always wondered why it was called Labor Day? Why not call it non-labor day? I mean we are suppose to take the day off...right? Well anyway....onto Fabulous Friday!

I am ending the summer Fab Friday with a Bang! Lots of fabulous "Bling" to look at this week. Enjoy!
