Red, White & Blue Inspiration

I have always enjoyed Memorial Day weekend. It is a great few days to spend time with family, friends and to reflect on our amazing country. This weekend brings so many wonderful families memories back to mind. We use to spend time at our family lake house growing up with all of our cousins. We would fish, swim, boat, water ski, have campfires and more! Do you ever wish you could turn back time...just for a moment!?

As we head into this holiday weekend, here is a little Red, White & Blue inspiration:

Who else is ready to decorate in Red, White & Blue!?
Hope you all have something wonderful planned this weekend!

Front Door Reveal

I know all you lovelies have been clicking and refreshing your screens for days now! hehe

For those of you that are new to my blog you can read about my paint options for my front door here. We had a big blog vote and the paint color that won was (click here).

However, I decided I was brave but not Peacock brave! So my final decision was Calypso Blue!

It took me a couple of days to really live with it, but now I love it! It is quite the change from plain ole Black!

Front Door Color- NEED YOUR VOTES!!

Happy Friday! Do you have a lot planned this weekend? We do! I mean....does it really ever stop!?

I have a plan to get the front of my house in tip top shape this weekend! I haven't even planted anything in my pots or bought new cushions for my wicker chairs and here we are at the end of April! (I think it is because my mother-in law didn't come down to help me this spring!)

Since I am sprucing up the front porch, I was thinking of adding a little punch of color to the front door. I am a little nervous about this because I usually don't go crazy with color except in accents. But currently my front door looks like this:

Yep...Black and Boring! I don't mind it, but I think our door looks like everyone else's in the neighborhood. I guess that is why they call it a "cookie cutter" neighborhood? Well...I am determined to be the different one!

So here are a few of my choices.  I NEED YOUR HELP!! (In no particular order!)

1. Kensington Green by Benjamin Moore
Try to Imagine on my Front Door!

2. Peacock Blue by Benjamin Moore

3. Wythe Blue by Benjamin Moore

4. Calypso Blue by Benjamin Moore

Which color is your favorite? Which one do you think will work best with the front of my home?

I am going to try and paint it on Sunday as soon as I hear from all of you!

Happy Weekend All!

For the Love of...

Pink and Orange

I have really been into bright and cheery colors lately!  I have been inspired by all of the wonderful colors that come from nature this time of year.

Not sure if I would really add this color combo to my home, but I am really digging the loud, vibrant feel it brings to cold and blank spaces!

Enjoy!

{My Weekend} According to Instagram

If you haven't heard of Instagram, it is a photo sharing App that allows you to take pictures, filter and transform the look of each picture and then enables you to share your pictures with other social media sites. I enjoyed playing around with it this weekend!

So enjoy my weekend according to Instagram:

Cinnamon Rolls for St. Patty's Breakfast

Enjoyed some "me" time playing Su Doku while sitting in the Sun!

"Chatterbox" our cat, enjoyed having everyone home this weekend!

Yep...more paint swatches for the entryway. You will be happy to know that I finally picked a color! Hope to show you by the weekend!

Went through our Master Bedroom closet and gave 6 bags to Goodwill! Yahoo!

Watched A LOT of NCAA basketball.

Drank some "green" beer for St. Patrick's Day!!

Caulked all of the wainscoting in the entryway.
(I have decided that caulking is NOT my favorite DIY!)

And...I enjoyed taking a few walks looking at all the gorgeous flowering trees that have started to bud here in the Carolinas!

Overall, a relaxing, productive, warm and gorgeous weekend!

How about you? What did all you beauties do this weekend?
